Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic singer, composer and performer. He blends jazz from the soul genre with R&B to create a unique mixture. Avery Sunshine has appeared on Broadway and at festivals in Europe, as well as performing at Democratic National Convention. Sunshine, whose given name was Denise White. Although she lives in Atlanta however, she comes from Chester Pennsylvania where she began her musical vocation by singing as well as playing the piano at churches. She was a student at Spellman College in Atlanta where she started her musical apprenticeship in the city's R&B scene. The Fighting Temptations The first single featuring her voice was called Stalk You A house 12 released only in Japan and has since been remixed by many producers and remains a staple of her live sets. Her voice was also featured in the music video for The Fighting Temptations. She became the primary keyboardist at Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 about serving as the Choral Director for Dreamgirls the stage show at Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was at the center of attention for all of the country during daily performances of four at 2008's Democratic National Convention. Sunshine followed up with being requested to sing with the President Barack Obama at his inauguration.
